Assignment:
You will turn yourself into a cartoon and inspire your self with a note, quote or poem to yourself.

To create the cartoon of my photo, I followed along with this video to guide me. I started off by editing the image size. I set the resolution to 150 pixels per/inch, and the width and height to 1000 pixels. I then separated my subject from the background and added a background color of a very light purple. I created a new layer to add my effects, I went to filter and then filter gallery, opened the artistic folder and clicked poster edges. I then went to filter, stylize and oil paint to change the brush settings. I changed the blend mode of my layer to multiply, then went to filter, blur, surface blur to edit the settings. I didn't want to overdo it with the filters and all because I wanted my features to still be visible and not get overpowered by all the effects added. I then chose my quote, “Your direction is more important than your speed”, which means that being on the right path is what is important and not how fast you achieve something. Most things in life take time but are worth every second of it in the end. I chose this quote because it was inspiring to me and I tend to stress when it comes to timing. I decided to set my text all to the left of my photo and align it. I did not like how it looked in the center and felt that there was a lot going on. I set the color to blue, I decided to have a pattern with the color going from dark blue to light blue and with the font going from arial narrow to brush script.
