Advertisements!

Assignment:

You will be creating two separate advertisement campaigns. One for a Photo Restoration company magazine ad and another for a Web based company that markets beauty anti aging products.

Photo Restoration company magazine ad

I started off by fixing the background using the clone stamp tool. I used this tool to get rid of the cracks and overall any damage done to the photo. Since the woman’s right eye was completely covered, I used this tool to be able to copy and paste her left eye onto the right side of her face. I then used the dodge tool to brighten up the photo a little and increased the contrast. I also changed the filter of the photo to give it some color. When creating my “magazine” I got my inspiration from a company that already does photo restoration. I was not targeting a specific age group, I feel like a variety of people with different ages would be interested in restoring an old or damaged photo that they have. For the typography/layout I wanted the photo to be the main focus but I also made sure to include a description of what could be done to their photo and a title but also a way to contact and further ask any questions. I also included the website I used.

Web based company: anti aging products

I began by cropping the image because I planned to do a side by side to emphasize the difference that the product made. I used the spot healing tool to even out her skin and completely get rid of her wrinkles and fine lines. To smooth out the photo I used the clone stamp tool. I then opened the original photo and copied and pasted the edited image of half of her face and aligned them both together. I found a website that was advertising anti aging products and used it for this. I screen-shotted a part of the website and copied and pasted my photo onto it. In my “ad” I am targeting middle aged women. For the typography/layout, I wanted it to be simple and the website I found was perfect for me to add my edited photo. I also wanted to make sure a product (a cream) was included. I also linked the website I used.
